]]> Another one of my bright ideas – after hearing all of the hype surrounding The Human Centipede, I decided to watch it today with Ben, followed by The Human Centipede 2. The first film was bad enough but the second film was even more intense. Maybe it was the chicken burger I ate right before we watched the film but I didn’t feel good watching them. Despite the awful reviews I’ve seen, I preferred the second movie as it was almost artistic in the way it was shot. There’s also hardly any dialogue making the film even more intense. Having said that, it was pretty disgusting. After watching the Chipmunks movie, I need to watch something good!

Gareth’s Synopsis: Crazy German surgeon kidnaps and stitches 3 people together who try to escape. The second movie follows a crazy British car park attendant who is obsessed with the first movie and tries to recreate the movie but with 12 people.

]]> The usual gang (myself, Jonny and Ben) plus Ben’s girlfriend, Donna, decided yesterday to go and watch the new Sherlock Holmes movie. It seems that everyone else had the same idea as the showing we wanted was sold out. Rather than wait an hour for the next showing, or going home, we decided to watch the new Chipmunks movie which I only suggested we watch it as a joke! That’s an hour and a half I will not get back. It’s most definitely a film for children, and children who can tolerate high-pitched singing. Not surprisingly I don’t recommend this movie.

Gareth’s Synopsis: Chipmunks go on cruise, get stranded on an island, one gets bitten by a spider and becomes French, they create an escape plan.
